Booking in & Fees

We welcome all children from Corfe Castle and the surrounding areas. We are committed to inclusivity, and value each child’s individual talents, temperament, and differences. We welcome children of any race, religion or background. We are very proud of our experience in catering for children with special needs, and will always do our best to accommodate every child.
Confident children can be booked into any session without their parents from the age of 2. We encourage parents who are thinking of sending their children to us to visit and see for themselves what we have to offer. Prospective parents are welcome to come to our taster sessions, or just drop in anytime. Please contact us for more information, or to arrange a visit.

Taster Sessions

Taster sessions are for children aged 2 upwards accompanied by their parents or carers. They are held on Wednesday mornings and afternoons. They allow children to get used to the Pre-School routine before they start, and also give parents an idea of what goes on. Please contact us for more information.

Taster Session Fees

  • Mornings (9.30am - 11.30am) : £2.50
  • Afternoons (12.30pm - 2.30pm): £2.50

It is a legal requirement that children are registered with us before they can attend the Pre-School. Basically this just involves filling in a short booking in form, and signing your name! Once your child is registered you are free to bring them to taster sessions or start full sessions.

Waiting List

You can put your child's name down for the Pre-School whenever you want to, we don't currently have a waiting list, but we do have some sessions that are full.

A child's Pre-School fees may be paid for in a number of ways as shown below:

All children are entitled to 15 funded hours from the start of the term after their third birthday.

There is a cut-off date just before the beginning of each term, on the first of September, January and April. So if your child is three on the 31st of March then they will be funded for the Summer Term, but if their birthday is on the 1st of April then the funding will start in the Autumn Term.

Our morning session is 3 hours long, our lunch time is half an hour, and our afternoon session is 2 1/2 hours long. So the free 15 hours can be taken as five mornings, five lunch times and afternoons, two full days and one morning and so on!

Unfunded Children

Hours in addition to a child's funded hours are charged at the unfunded rate as shown below:

  • Mornings (8.50am - 11.50am) : £12.75
  • Lunc h (11.50am - 12.20pm) : £2.12
  • Afternoons (12.20pm - 14.50pm): £10.62

Childcare Vouchers

We currently accept vouchers issued by Co-op Imagine, we are happy to sign up to other schemes if parents need us to. Please contact us for more information.

We do not make a profit from the Pre-School; in fact fees do not cover our overheads and so we run a variety of fundraising activities to make up the difference. Please contact us for more information.
